Thanks Birdshooter, we’ll check that one out next trip up North.
I agree, hate how they look but considering i’m usually covered in mud by the end of a hike it really doesn’t matter and they do the job.
If my calculations are correct Bird Shooter, that’s going to be around 15 more years for you.
We now have a Choc Lab and it’s really disappointing to not be able to take her on some of these trails. I’ve had a sort of change of mind on this topic. Although I’ve always enjoyed the non Kujo dogs on the trails now that we have a dog I’m even more of a fan of dogs on the trails.

Now I don’t care who you are, that’s funny!
Will let you know when we get up to Fort Drum, NY…ugh.
I might suggest a stop by the Ranger office just to ask about Bear activity and hunters. We did Cherokee this past weekend and got very good information as usual from the Rangers.
Here are the Google search results.
That was a cool show, if it’s the same one I watched, the blackhole stretching our bodies and then ripping them apart into atomic sizes seemed to be the most interesting way to go.
DOH!!!!
Guess his Bigfootedness gets to continue hiding out. They must really live in a boring town to end up looking this stupid.

If weight is an issue, consider a tarp set up. I have an old Wal Mart setup for family camping that works well when car camping. For cheap as in FREE gear check out the Freecycle Network.
No kidding. I have a serious “jonesing” to trek to the base of the great mountains like Everest and K2, but to actually climb them isn’t something I’d want to attempt.

Thanks Shooter,
Appears (at least for now) the trip will occur in September now. Probably just jinxed that trip, but I’m optimistic.

The SPOT definitely has some issues with sending out signals in wooded areas or if you’re on the move. Still a good product, just needs some improving.
