Trip Report: The trail starts out next to a small church and then crosses a road however it can seem tricky to know where the trail goes at first because it is not marked really well at this point. It is fairly level, quite, tranquil when the flowers are just beginning to bloom out. One of my favorite things was seeing a mother deer with her baby and a couple of squirrels jumping across the logs lying across the spring running next to the trail. Other things in the area next to the trail include a museum which has clothing from the war for you to try on, a monument of Andrew Jackson, a church and a one room school house.
