Trip Report: We started this hike from the Burrell’s Ford parking area. Approximately 1/2mi. on the trail we took the side trip to see Spoonauger Falls, well worth the trip. One of our group tried his hand at Trout fishing and beginners luck paid off. Further up the trail we encountered several campers close to a nice sandy beach below a bend in the river. Later found that area using Google Earth. Took a break at the East Fork trail junction then continued on to Ellicott Rock. Trip back included more fishing and enjoying the sunny 70’s degree day.
