Trip Report: The Operator, The Camel, and I all slept late at the cabin this morning after a marathon game of Hold 'em that lasted until 3am last night. We had some breakfast at the cabin, then piled into the Pilot for a hike at Aska road with Wild Turkey, Pixie and Will. This is his first wilderness hike and he seemed to enjoy it. The trail makes a 1.9 mile loop and it has decent winter views from the ridge. There were a surprising number of people on the trail with their dogs, and the parking area at Aska road was packed. It took us just over an hour to complete the loop, then we headed into Blue Ridge for a late lunch at Wendy's and to get some groceries at Food Lion. CA called this afternoon and officially bailed on the weekend. So we headed back to the house, jumped in the hot tub, and cooked up some brats and chicken on the charcoal grill. We also played some board games and more rounds of Hold 'em until 3am again tonight.
