Directions: This trailhead is located just before the customs station at the U.S./Canada border. Follow Chief Mountain International Highway (17) from Babbs, MT to the border.

Glacier's main entrances, West Glacier and St. Mary, are located on the western and eastern park boundaries at either end of Going-to-the-Sun Road. Another eastern entrance is located at Many Glacier off U.S. 89. You may enter the park near East Glacier off U.S. 89 Camas Creek (north of Apgar), Polebridge (off the North Fork Road), and Cut Bank. Also from U.S. 89, you may enter the park past East Glacier off U.S. 49 at Two Medicine.

The closest airports are Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell, Montana (25 miles from West Glacier) and in Great Falls, Montana (200 miles from West Glacier). Car rentals are available at both airports. Shuttles are available at the Kalispell airport.

Hike Summary: The hike to Glenn's Lake is a backtrack trip with a deep ford right before the lake campsite (shown above). On a summer evening, expect to see deer grazing along the shore, and the sun lighting up the snow peaks that tower over the camping area. You'll also enjoying hiking past waterfalls and through flowing meadows on this trail.
