Hike Summary: The hike up Beachcroft is rated "Difficult" by the Acadia ratings system. It was a steady hike up along built in staircases of rock with a change over to boulders on the last section. The Bear Brook Trail and Gorham Mountain trail are fairly easy trails and will bring you to a great view of the Bowl (small lake within the mountain range). Once you leave at the Gorham Trailhead, you can take a short walk to a shuttle stop and catch the shuttle back around the mountain range to your car. Stop at the ranger station at the entrance to the park for the locations and times of the shuttles as they change with the seasons. The shuttles are free.
