Hike Summary: | This 122-acre Waianapanapa State Park is situated along the coast near Hana, Hawaii and has dramatic volcanic landscapes including black sand beaches, sea caves, blow holes, a natural stone arch, and hiking trails that hug the cliffs along the coast. The Blacksand Beach Hiking Trail takes you near all of these featues and offers an opportunity to enjoy the unusual and occassionally rough surf which is a beautiful deep aqua blue. Nearby you can also see the remnants of the first road built around the island of Maui which is called the old King's Highway. |
