Hike Summary: | This hike starts at the low gap shelter climbing steadily nearly 1000 feet through the Chattahoochee gap to the Blue Mountain Shelter. From here the trail goes down nearly 1100 feet to where it crosses GA Hwy 75 at the Unicoi gap parking area. Then the trail climbs over the rocky mountain trail and then USFS 283 at Indian grave gap, and then it climbs over tray gap and crosses USFS 79 where there is a nice campsite at the old historical site of a former cheese factory. |
