Guys I’m literally shaking right now 😭 I just finished a full set of classic lashes and as soon as I misted them with water at the end, the adhesive base turned completely WHITE and crusty on a few outer corners! It looks terrible like dry salt or something! Did I ruin her lashes? What did I do wrong and how do I fix this before my next client arrives at 3 PM?!

Deep breath! That’s called shock polymerization. It happens when cyanoacrylate comes into contact with too much moisture before it’s properly cured from the inside out. Did you hold the nano mister too close or use it right away without letting the glue set for a couple of minutes first?

Yep, classic shock curing! Jen is totally right. If you want to avoid this in the future, it really helps to understand how different formulas react to moisture and curing speeds. Take a look at lash glue to see how various lash glues differ in curing times and humidity tolerance—some low-fume or flexible formulas are way more forgiving with nano misting than ultra-fast ones. For now, carefully banana-peel off those white spots and replace them!

thank you so much! I checked out the different options on that link and realized I was using a super fast 0.5s adhesive that I definitely wasn’t ready for yet as a beginner lol. I peeled off the frosty ones and re-applied, client didn’t even notice. Phew!
