Editing an OfferUp listing seemed to reduce the number of views I was getting, even though the photos and description are clearer now. I am wondering whether updates affect visibility for a while or whether the item just stopped getting attention naturally. Has anyone noticed a drop after changing a listing, and did reposting or adjusting the price make any real difference? I would like to know whether visibility usually returns without making a new listing.

Listing views can drop for several reasons, so I’d avoid changing price, photos, description, and posting strategy all on the same day. I’d compare the view count before the edit across the following 48 hours and keep the revised photos in place long enough to see a new pattern. A separate price change can be tested later if attention stays low. If the decline continues, feedback from OfferUp reviews may show whether other sellers notice a temporary visibility dip following edits or whether reposting is usually what brings fresh exposure. That gives each change a chance to show its own effect.

Testing one listing change at a time is great advice. If price, photos, description, and reposting all change together, there’s no way to know what affected the views. Giving each edit enough time to show a pattern makes the result much more useful.
