We are planning a camping weekend in the desert next month, and I want my car ready before we go. I have a 2021 Land Rover Defender and so far the AC has been good. It is cold, quiet, and there are no strange smells. But I bought the car second hand, and I have no paper that shows when the AC was last checked. My friend has a Discovery and he told me he does a small AC check every year before summer. Another friend says that is a waste of money if nothing is broken. I could not decide who was right, so one night I read about it online. I opened a page about Land Rover cars on a Sharjah website to learn what parts of the AC need care. It talked about the front cooling part, the drain pipe, the cabin filter and the gas pressure. It said that sand and dust can slowly block the front of the car, and that a small check costs much less than fixing a big part later. That made sense to me, because we will drive on sandy tracks. Then a coworker told me to look for Best Land Rover AC maintenance in Industrial Area 11 and ask for a paper list of what they checked, so I can keep it for next year. I liked that idea because I want to keep a small record in the glove box. So I have some questions. What should a yearly AC check on a Land Rover include, only the gas, or also a leak test and a filter change? Is it a good idea to clean the front of the car after driving in sand? How cold should the vents feel on a very hot day? And about how long does a check take, and what is a fair price? If you keep a routine for your Defender, Discovery or Range Rover, please tell me what you do and how it has worked for you. Thanks a lot.
