I need help finding spare parts. Here is what I know about it: It’s a walk-behind Craftsman mower with a grass catcher only (no mulching) and a 22-inch cutting width. My father bought it around 1989 or 1990. The engine is red and black, the deck is silver steel, and the handle and grass bag are black. The self-propulsion drive failed quite early on and was never fixed (and I don’t plan to repair it anytime soon). All four wheels are the same size. Six primes of the primer bulb and two pulls—and it starts right up. It has been our only mower for the last 11 years, and we use it heavily.
We’ve run out of spare parts and now need to find new ones—which, given the closure of Sears and the sale of the Craftsman brand, will likely be Chinese-made or aftermarket parts.
I can’t find any information on this online. Does anyone know where I can get them?

Check the model number of the lawnmower itself as well as the engine number, since Craftsman used different parts even for similar models.
You can also look for used parts online.

Good aftermarket components are still available for a traditional mower like this. Apart from Craftsman, try looking at other well-known brands from the same era. Since many components came from the same factories, you may check https://udcparts.com/collections/oem-equivalent-toro-mower-blades . Before ordering, just check the blade length and mounting hole diameter to guarantee the substitute matches.
