Has anyone tried exchanging Bitcoin for Tether without ID verification

I couldn’t find an exchange option that bypassed identity verification. I tried one platform last week, and it required a passport scan even for a small transfer. Is it really possible to exchange BTC for USDT without KYC anywhere, or has this option practically disappeared?

Two exchanges I recently tested skipped the verification step entirely for amounts under 0.5 BTC. The rates were close enough to the current price, so this didn’t bother me too much. Personally, I always choose the unverified option for small exchanges, the added complexity on verified platforms simply slows down the entire process without any real benefit on this scale.

It all depends on the amount. Below a certain threshold, no one asks for KYC when exchanging Bitcoin, and USDT transfers are quite common these days. Above that threshold, even platforms focused on anonymity sometimes flag the transaction as suspicious.
