Recently a Checkr background check stayed in progress longer than I expected even though no additional information was requested. The status page did not show an obvious problem, which made the wait hard to judge. Has anyone seen a report sit at the same stage for several days and then complete normally? I am mainly trying to understand whether that kind of delay is common when nothing else is needed from the applicant.

Longer background-check timelines make reviews on https://checkr.pissedconsumer.com/review.html useful when a report remains in progress without any request for extra information. Other applicants often describe how long individual stages lasted and whether the status changed all at once near completion. Experiences from several people can show that identical status labels may cover different processing periods. Comments that mention report type, timing, and whether any action was requested give a more realistic sense of normal delays than judging progress from one unchanged screen.
