Hike Summary: | Awesome hike Going down the S. Kaibob was strenuous and extreamly hot. Trail head at 0530 was 55 degrees the bottom by 2pm was 120 degrees. No water and no shade. It is hooter than hell. Make sure you are perpared with plenty of water, carbs and away to cool your body down. Going up bright angel is much easier,. There is water and shaddy places. Try to hike in early AM to get though devils cork screw before 11 am. |
