Okay, not a hiking activity, sue me. This story is getting weird as there are several reports of dead but the Everest site is only reporting one so far and tempers are really going through the roof. The short version is a large piece of ice fell on the route up and severed the fixed lines. Chaos is setting in it appears. I do pray things don’t turn out for the worse.
No kidding. I have a serious “jonesing” to trek to the base of the great mountains like Everest and K2, but to actually climb them isn’t something I’d want to attempt.
