Hey everyone. Just wanted to pass along some advice to keep everyone in the outdoors safe. Before you throw a rock off that ledge please keep in mind there may be climbers below you. Just experienced this luckily with noboby hit. There is a growing number of rock climbers being hit by rocks thrown from hikers and it’s personally very terrifying to see a big boulder hurtling past you in an already tense (for me at least) situation.
I’m halfway up and trying not to look down and my climbing partner starts screaming ROCK ROCK!!! I squished as much of my 220 lbs into the wall as I could and saw the thing fall 5 ft (probably 20ft) but fear makes everything closer. Please think about climbers before you toss a rock. People are being prosecuted for this out West. Heck of a way to start my first real climb.
