They all good in my book, but I particularly enjoy an overnight campsite deep in the backcountry and hanging around the campfire with a few of my trail buddies.

I agree, everyone would be a good reason. There’s nothing better than getting away from my crazy daily schedule like hangin around a campfire, miles away from anything civilzed.

I feel I just have to get out of civilization. Whether its a day hike, or camping, I just have to get away from paved roads, cars, buildings, and people from time to time!

It’s just nice to get a way from the rat race and chill out somewhere away from the world. All the choices are good in there own way. Hiking takes me to places so I can take great pictures along the way. Then when I am stressed out at work I can look at my pics and remember that great place all over again…

Personally, I enjoy the exploration the most – seeing new places, and faces. I have my favorite destinations like everyone else, but there’s nothing like discovering something new especially when it’s in your own backyard and no one else knows about it.

Getting away is definitely good as are most choices. I voted for scenery. I try to be a summit hiker and the anticipation of what the view is and mostly ends up isn’t is a huge thrill for me.
No hills in Savannah though, just miles and miles of flat trails your grandmother would call wimpy. The fishing is fantastic however so I’ll enjoy it while I can. Hanginga t the campfire watching a redfish fry up is the tops.

It was really hard to pick just one but I went with the scenery, but eating in the outdoors has to be a close 2nd for me.

While I love every aspect of backpacking, I have come to a point in my life when it is about my limits. How far can I make it in a day, while still enjoying the sights.

Getting away is awesome, but even better is finding those good rocks to boulder on while getting away :)

I like to hike for the scenery because I do nature photography for a hobby. I would like to go up to the Twin Arches to take some photographs. I haven’t been there yet. I have been to other locations in the Big South Fork Park, such as, the Honey Creek Overlook and the East Rim Overlook.
I have also been to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and the Obed River at the Lilly Bluff Overlook taking photographs.

Sometimes, it’s just nice to turn the PDA/phone off and get away from a TV, or a computer. It’s refreshing, and relaxing all at once, even if it’s the most strenuous thing you’ve done in a while. I enjoy doing things I’ve never done before, and pushing my body to the max.
