Trip Report: This hike is a must every time we go back to Tennessee. This is my 2nd most often hiked trail and quite possibly my most favorite because I can really explore, boulder, fish, camp, and pretty much act like a kid again in about 1 sq mile of this spot. I love wading through the water and building dams with my son and now that he's old enough it's really going to be fun as long as it's not as cold as the pic. Last time in a little girl got off the trail and slipped down the hillside. She came to rest just above the parking lot. Some Marines headed in to help her from the left, I came in from the right. My side of the hill gave away and I did high altitude scamble not to land in someone's car windshield. This time, the Marines saved the day, of course they were the one's who got her in the mess in the first place. This is not a place to take the kids exploring or let them run off unsupervised, the falls will kill anyone who goes over.
