Trip Report: | Weston Lake Loop Trail gets really interesting once you have exited the low boardwalk and are walking along Cedar Creek. The 1.2 mile segment, along the creek, has some of the best feral pig habitat I have seen in Congaree Park. Sings of the animals are everywhere and a sighting is very likely just about any time of the day. Birding is also excellent here. The trail, in it's entirety, is easy. The only challenge may be the slipperiness of the trail during wet conditions. I took my time on this 4.4 mile hike, spending about five hours on the trail. I loved every minute of it. |
