| Trip Report: | Using both boardwalks as a loop trail is like taking a hike through two distinctly different ecosystems, and using the self-guided interpretive pamphlet is a great way to learn about the history and biodiversity of both. I've done this walk several times and every time I have done it, I've had a great experience. Birding, especially in the winter, is fantastic. Unlike the more remote and longer hikes at Congaree, the Boardwalks can be done casually in a couple hours and is great for a family outing. The boardwalks are well constructed and safe. |
