Trip Report: The recreation area was closed so I started at trail crossing on FS 634. I hiked counter clockwise. The lake trail was poorly marked with white blaze. The Horn Creek Trail was marked very well with white blazes. The terrain had very little elevation change. This is a very easy hike. The scenery was almost primarily mature pines. They were very tall, well over 80 feet tall. There were periods of seed tree pine harvests, shelterwood harvest, and bottomland hardwood. The hike crosses several creeks and in periods of high water you may get wet.
