Trip Report:	We accessed this trail from a different point which did not require the climb from the Sand Beach nor does it require the fee and permit required to enter the park. Travel South from BarHarbor on Schooner Head Rd., thru a 4 way stop, to a parking area on the left just before the road ends. Trail head is on the ocean side of the parking lot. The short trail from the parking lot connects with the Great Head Loop. A nice short hike that shows off the rugged coastline, as well as the neat Sand Beach below, from several nice vantage points.
