Trip Report: | Great hike once again and especially good for any of you urban hikers who don't like getting too far away from civilization. The very nice attendant gave us some history on the canals and pointed out some good spots to check out. We took our time and completed all of the trails besides Sand Hills Trail. Supposedly, you can whistle along the trail and turtles will come out of their holes and beg for some lettuce. Very easy hike, even with a three year old on your shoulders. The trail maintenance group needs volunteers for this trail on the 2nd Sat of every month. Nice hike for an afternoon off with the family. |
