Trip Report: Another great hike, I love this place. Saw 5 alligators today but no river otters. The water in the canals is really down. I'd say down a good two feet so you can really see the fish, turtles, and gators quite easily.
Wasn't the biggest number of gators I've seen in this area. Highest count is 11 from 1 ft to 6 ft. Gators are acting a lot more concerned about my presence so it must be mating season soon.

There are loads and loads of blackberries along the trails. The land mgmt folks don't seem to want a lot of traffic through here as I'm seeing more "indications" that I shouldn't go back here on my own. I've ran into a few of them back here and they say they don't care but that I'm on my own if I get in trouble, so use your head and go walkig in a group.
