Trip Report: | My only recommendation would be for the Park Service to label or place signs to show which states are where once you get to the top. We drove to the parking area and took the summit trail (.6 miles) to the top. The trail was great and had a few rocks for the boy to climb and hone his skills. There was a definite change in the air which was "neat" to the wife..aka the trail boss. We had the entire mountain to ourselves it seemed as we didn't see a single soul the entire 3 hours we spent on the mountain. There is a 5.5 mile trail at the parking area which looked to be in great shape. Excellent Hike for families and definitely Daddy and Son. |
