| Trip Report: | nice hike, stream was partially frozen after the south fork branched off. we camped about a 1/4 mile above the spring...so about 5 & 1/2 miles or so, just where the trail began to get really steep, near a steep clearing. camelbacks got a little slushy with ice by morning. this was a route finding trek for a possible snow backpacking trip this winter over part of the crest trail and then finishing down the three rivers trail. very beautiful. date was 12/3-4/2005 |
