We started our hike at dusk but with clouds in the sky, it was pitch black by the time we arrived at the summit. A full moon poked through the clouds at times, but a headlamp was definitely needed to stay on the trail this evening. Camped at the summit near the old concrete blocks for firetower - which was removed over 30 years ago. Saw only a few day hikers on the trail today and got soaked while hiking out the following morning. Rain is in the forecast for the entire day this Saturday, so we didn't see any other hikers today. |
