Trip Report: 7/01/95: (Wyoming Hills, 12 miles) – We got a late start today and didn’t get out of camp until 1pm. The Iceman, Slawdog and I had to re-cross the Toklat River this morning but it was much easier than last night. Hiked northbound along the East Fork of the Toklat to a tributary and followed it into the Wyoming Hills. Camped on a creek bed this evening after we did some recon and found a way across the mountain pass that separates the East and West Forks of the Toklat River. I saw a huge bird which looked like an eagle on the side hike into the Wyoming Hills. Some light rain came down this evening, and Slawdog and The Iceman set up my tent while I was gone. We rushed through dinner as a result and jumped in the tents around 9-10pm. Fortunately, the rain did not continue through the night.

Weather: Mostly cloudy with rain late in the day. Temperatures to 60’s H, 40’s L.
