| Trip Report: | Now this is the way to spend Christmas Eve. No pics with this one as I ran out of batteries for the camera...making Mr Duracell a rich man. I love this area and dream of living here one day, however, I'll definitely have to be a forest ranger cause there isn't anything else I can imagine doing for a career after the Army. This was a solo hike and I swear there was either a bear or pig on my trail..that or those boys from Deliverance wore looking for a hot date. Lots of snapping branches and scambling. Luckily, Mr Sidearm goes along with me in areas that I can get away wit hit...for Mr. No Shoulders enounters. The area was very wet from the last few days of rainy weather and I was wishing for snow along with a pair of good gloves. I'll give it a *** rating as the rain made the trail pretty slick and sloppy and the Banjo Bros stalking encounter...just creepy enough to make your butt cheeks squeeze tighter. |
