Hike Summary: | From 311 to McCafee's knob it is about 3. 5 miles of trail and or fire road; slightly up hill. Outstanding view at the Knob. It overlooks the Roanoke Valley and offers an excellent view of Roanoke Regional airport. Just below the Knob is a camp shelter...from the knob you can see your destination point. From the knob to the Cliffs the hike becomes slightly more strenuous. |
