Directions: From Soddy-Daisy High School (you can mapquest 618 Sequyah Access Road; Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379), take a left on Sequoyah Road.
Go past 27 and take a left on Dayton Pike.
Take a right on Montlake.
As you are going up the mountain, their will be a small dirt area on your left where you can park. Their is a metal bar preventing cars from going further into the woods.
Hike down the trail until you get to the waterfall and then begin climbing/hiking it.

Hike Summary: You are climbing/hiking up a waterfall. It is a strenuous climb, but does not require climbing equipment. I would reccomend going with at least one other person and wearing long jeans. when you get to the impassable rock wall, it is time to turn around and go home. This is a good place for a rest, and has overhangs if you need to get out of the rain. you can decend via the woods if you are too tired to use the rocks.

Where you are talking about parking is the entrents to the old strip mine road, and there is a better place to park below in the state park tract called the Pocket Wilderness but know by locals as the Blue Hole. Also there is Camping sites 3 miles and 6 miles back, permit is required a day in advance, and it is managed by the TN State Park Service.
