Hike Summary: | Follow the Plunge Pool trail down a rocky, sometimes slippery, descent to the base of the falls. You can walk behind the falls and hang out under them when theyre not flowing to hard. When the water flow is pretty heavy you can swim in the pool below the falls. When we went the falls were low so the pool was a bit stagnent. But non the less beautiful. "Ozone Falls plunges 110 feet over a sandstone cap rock into a deep blue, rock-strewn pool. Fall Creek then disappears underground until it re-emerges several feet downstream. An impressive rock house “amphitheater” can be seen behind the falls that was created over geologic time by wind, water, freeze/thaw, and erosion." |
