It is known as the Stevenson Trail and is an extremely interesting and senic trail with many fine views and points of interest including abandoned coal mines. North Chickamauga Creek flows through the Gorge and is very beautiful with a number of interesting waterfalls and cascades. The name "Chickamauga" means "dwelling Place of the Chief" in the Creek Indian language. This is an easy to moderate hike for a total of 8 miles. There are also opportunities for camping here.
