Hike Summary: | Tough 2000 ft climb in only 3.5 miles, but great views from the top. The summit is 3124' feet, but the trailhead is at 1150'. Overall time is about 4 hours for the in and out trip. Do the hike early (start before 10) on the weekends to miss the crowd or hike during the week for solitude. Small entrance fee for the park itself and water source (creek) dries up within the first mile or so. Given the use of the trail, drink at your own risk. Great hike and good workout! Only wish I lived closer in order to go on a weekly jaunt. Ranked it a 3 only for the length. |
