Directions: | Go north out of Walhalla on Hwy 28 for approx 8 miles and turn right onto SC 107. Approx 1 mile pass the entrance to Oconne State park, turn left onto Village Creek Road. Drive 1.9 miles and turn right onto Nicholson Ford Road, a gravel road Drive 2.3 miles to a parking lot. (The gravel road is well graded and fairly wide until the last .3 miles where it becomes one lane.). Take the Foothills Trail (white blaze) west out of the parking lot. west for .6 mile and turn left onto the Chattooga Trail. Hike .1 mile to Pigpen Falls. Cross the footbridge continue for .2 mile on the Chattooga Trail and the first level of Licklog Falls will be to the right of the trail. The second level is approximately 50 yards downstream of the first. |

Hike Summary: | This an easy hike. Descend from the parking lot west on the Foothills for .6 mile through a thick hardwood forest and turn left onto the Chattooga Trail. Hike .1 mile to Pigpen Falls. Cross the footbridge continue for .2 mile on the Chattooga Trail and the first level of Licklog Falls will be to the right of the trail. The second level is approximately 50 yards downstream of the first. While not designaed a camp area, there are multiple camping sites in the area which makes this an attrractive area for a family outing. |
