Directions: From Westminster, drive west 13.3 miles on US Highway 76 and turn left onto Damascus Church Road (County S-96). Drive 0.9 mil and turn right onto Battle Creek Road (Country S-102). Drive 1.9 miles and turn right onto Turkey Ridge Road (FS 755). Pull off parking on left about 2.3 miles. Opossum Trail on left back off the road.

Hike Summary: The trail is a well maintained trail but is a bit difficult. The trail goes 2.2 miles down to the Chattoga river. There is a nice swimming and beach area. Looking at the river to the left the trail continues .3 miles to Opossum Creek Falls. This is a nice day hike with very good views of both the Chattoga River and Opossum Creek. Opossum Creek Falls is reported to be a 50 foot drop falls.
