Hike Summary: | Starting out at the parking area there are a few places to begin your hiking experience. This park is not dfficult to hike, but it makes for a great day hike. Whichever trail you choose to begin on, the surrounding forest is amazing. I personally love to hike through tall pine forests and this is what Weymouth is all about. They do a lot of prescribed burning here to remove a lot of the natural debris. This makes for open tracts of pine forest that yeilds views of the undulating terrain. There are also areas which are left pristine and the growth of the forest really shows. Rivers and creeks flow through the park so there are several boardwalks along the trails. All in all a great way to spend an afternoon! |
