Hike Summary: | The Thorpe Creek Hike is considered to be a moderate hike because it climbs approximately 1234 feet in a short distance. It is a looping trail starting at the back of Mortimer campground in the Pisgah National Forest. This trail can be a bit deceiving at first because it starts out fairly flat and follows a creek for the first part of the trail with a nice little there waterfall that is approximately a 15 feet high dropping into a small pool at the base. It takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete this hike depending on how good of shape you are in but is well worth the hike. |
