Hike Summary: | There is a new parking area with the trailhead starting in the back of the lot. The trail starts with a fairly steep incline but evens out after about a quarter of a mile. At around mile one, you come to some campsites on left and the trail branches right. It is a short, but steep ascend. You will be well above the creek at this point. Continue on trail for over half of a mile. There are some campsites on the left, descending down to the creek. We found one that was secluded and had a great swimming hole. Past these campsites is an unmarked, but well used trail descending down to Harper Creek Falls. You have to climb down a rope, due to erosion and slick rock. There are good swimming opportunities by the falls. There is even a rope to climb up to a second section of the falls. |
