Hike Summary: | This short hike loops around a small stream and lake that is located in the Lake Toxaway Resort near Cashiers, N.C. The stream runs through a thick forest with hardwoods and rhododendrons and cascades over a small waterfall in the middle of the forest. The trail is located on private property and you must have the permission of the owners to explore it. They have done an impressive job (and have undoubtedly invested countless man hours) building backcountry treehouses, swings, hot tubs, and hillside decks. It is truly an experience to wander through this forest but make sure you get permission first. |
