Hike Summary: | The park has numerous trails of varying length. The trails all seem to be sandy and are in a typical piney wooded area, laurel and pines are abundant. The white trail is the longest in the park and takes you around the perimeter of the park. Deer are abundant. There really isn't any views but the hike is very nice with a nice taste of the Pinelands of NJ. Ticks are noteds to be abundant in the park. |

We went hiking at Wells Mills yesterday. We hiked 5 miles. I literally pulled over 50 ticks off myself during and after the hike, including about 8 lodged in my skin. I didn’t use tick repellent, but stayed on trails the whole time–no off-trail hiking.
It’s memorial weekend and there was hardly anyone there. When we got there we were wondering why–now we know.
