Directions: | Rt 195 to Route 9 north, immediately upon exiting take Georgia Tavern Rd to Windeler Rd, after a right turn the entrance to the park is approximately 1.5 miles on the left. The parkinglot is straight ahead. The park offers fishing, boating, hiking, biking and kayaking. There is also an environmental center. |

Hike Summary: | From the main lot you can start the walk in either direction. When you came into the lot you drove over the trail crossing. The trail is a packed cinder trail which accomodates a wide variety of use. Its a family friendly park with benches along the way, views of the reservoir, and a playground at the Visitors center. The trail offers side trails that loop off of the main trail and there are observation blinds along the way too. Its a 5 mile hike with opportunity to see bald eagles, deer, turtles, snakes and other wild life. |
