Directions: | The current north end of the Ozark Trail (OT) begins in the Huzzah Conservation Area just south of Onondaga Cave State Park and heads south with the current end near Thomasville, Missouri. The OT is divided into sections from 24 to 33 miles as this is how it was constructed when construction began back in the 80s thru public lands. There are still 10 miles of construction awaiting on the Middle Fork Section to connect 225 miles together on the west through hike from north to south. Completion is scheduled for late 2005. There are also sections completed on the big east loop. The most used section being the 33 mile Taum Section section which goes over Missouri's high point and several other mountains in the St. Francis Mountains of the Missouri Ozarks.
