Directions: | From Downtown Kansas City - Using either the Heart of America or Broadway Bridge, go North across the Missouri River. Then exit on Highway 9 North ( Go West). Park University and Parkville are only a couple of miles down Highway 9 along the Missouri River. The park is located on the South end of Main Street at the edge of town and is right along the river. |

Hike Summary: | This easy loop hike at English Landing Park follows the banks of the Missouri River on a paved hiking/running trail that loops either one or two miles through the park. (You have the option of cutting the loop in half if you want). It passes baseball, soccer, and playground fields that are frequently used by the residents of Parkville, MO. The Parkville Nature Sanctuary is located nearby and behind the Parkville City Hall which offers 115 acres of woods and wetlands, a waterfall, a beaver colony, and a little glimpse of Parkville history. Educational programs are available at the sanctuary throughout the year. |
