The rangers are doing better control my last hike I went in with 2 rangers and they spoke the law
I’ve backpacked into the Falls area many times only to see the “necks” trashing the place with beer cans, bottles and plastic water containers. On one trip, two “necks” were fighting on the trail as to who was going to continue carrying the styrofoam cooler loaded with beer the remaining 2 miles to their campsite at the falls. After returning from my loop hike 3 days latter, sure enough, there was the same cooler and all those beer cans left behind at the campsite.
Those are the folks we have to thank for this! Do us all a favor next time you see this happen, slit there throats!
was just up at JR..says on sign day hiking only. Still a great hike! I remember ten years ago when it was open all the time day or night for camping. Guess to many people spoiled it for the rest.
Jethro, I heard Jack’s River is now closed for overnight camping. Can you confirm?
