Hike Summary: | This is a lollipop trail with yellow blazes. Start from the visitors center and is fairly level with only a few moderate climbs. At about 1 miles you will cross a paved road and start a short down hill. You will reach a three way intersection where the loop begins. To the right you reach the beaches of Lake Allatoona, the trail follows the coves for about 2 miles. At 2.6 miles there is a short trail to the right that takes you to the lake and you can see Allatoona Dam. At about 4 miles you reach the intersection again to finish the loop and return to the visitors center. |
