Hike Summary: | I hiked this trail in late May of 2007. The Western leg of this loop is pretty much totally unshaded so I would probably wait till cooler weather before coming out again. There was a bit of ORV damage on this section. The eastern part of the loop was scenic and traveled along the Withlacoochee River. But airboat traffic created alot of noise in some sections which detracted from the quiet experience most hikers are looking for. Like many Florida trails, the habitat is mixed. Overall it is a pretty nice trail. |
