Hike Summary: | This is a 5 mile loop with a couple of steep hills thrown in to give your legs a workout. We will use both fire roads and trails and streets to complete the loop. The hike begins at an access common to both Weir Canyon and Santiago Oaks with free parking. We will hike into Santiago Oaks and to the top of Barham Ridge at a gentle grade to warm up. Continuing on, we will descend to the bottom of Santiago Oaks and then return back up a series of trails to Robbers Roost. If it's clear, bring your camera for beautiful pictures of Western OC and sunset views from the top. A short trip through residential streets brings us back to the cars. It will take 1-1/2 to 2 hours to complete the loop. |
