Hike Summary: | This is a GREAT hike with lots of diversity. We'll start out on Bommer Ridge, then turn left on a little-used single track very interesting and pretty, but not named, trail down to the campground. We'll go up and out of the canyon, hike along No-name Ridge to West Cut Across, head up Rattlesnake and back to Bommer Ridge. This is a rough idea of the trails, which may change slightly (in case I left one or two out!). There is one (mini-Dreaded) hill that will challenge your lungs and legs, and the usually various other ups and downs. Poison Oak abounds on the single-track trail down to, and out of, the canyon, so long pants are advised. As long as one is aware of it, it shouldn't be a problem, as it's easily avoidable. |
